My project explores the challenges Black boys face growing up in the UK. Although each story is unique, shared experiences connect them. Growing up with two Black brothers, I witnessed unequal treatment and alienation rooted in race. These early comments and assumptions followed them into adulthood, shaping identity and self-perception. Through photography, I document these experiences and challenge the idea that such words are harmless, revealing their lasting weight and impact.
